Some parts of Greater Accra and Central Region have been hit by earth tremors.
This rare occurrence happened on 24nd June, 2020 (Wednesday) at around 10:40pm. It took place in the space of 10 minutes.
Residents of Kasoa, Achimota, Ablekuma, Manhean, Kaneshie, Adenta, Osu, Kokomlemle, Accra New Town, Haatso, Kwashiman, Teshie, Nungua, McCarthy Hill, East Legon, Tema, Amasaman Kokrobite, Gbawe, Sowutuom, Tetegu and Mambrobi Sempe, Ashaley Botwe among others.
They confirmed experiencing it three times within a short time frame. The first was intense, the subsequent ones were a bit lighter.
Some residents of Suhum-Akrabo in the Eastern region, Winneba and Awutu-Breku in the Central region also experienced it. This time four times.
In parts of Accra such as Dansoman, the lights went off for about five minutes before it came back.
