Nana Addo Lists Top 11 Ghanaian Foods To Help Fight Against COVID-19

– Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo has listed 11 indigenous Ghanaian foods that can help in the fight against the novel coronavirus

– According to the president, the foods listed contain vitamins A, B6, C and E, which help boost the immune system greatly

– The president made the revelations as part of his 9th address on the COVID-19 outbreak in the country

Ghana’s president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has listed 11 different local Ghanaian foods that can help the citizens in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president revealed the list in his address to the nation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak in Ghana and the measures that are to be taken to curb its effects.

According to the president, 11 Ghanaian foods namely oranges, kontomire, millet, cashew nut, crab, plantain, okra, dawadawa, brown rice and mushrooms; are very helpful in the fight against COVID-19.

Nana Akufo-Addo explained that these foods contain Vitamins A, B6, C and E which have proven to be highly relevant to help boost the immune system against diseases.

Many Ghanaians must have been thinking they would need some sophisticated medicines to help keep their bodies strong against ailments especially the novel coronavirus.

The president’s list, however, shows that with the least of resources, Ghanaians in all spectrums of the social stratum can protect themselves effectively as the foodstuffs listed are quite easy to come by.

Ghana has currently recorded over 4,700 cases of the novel coronavirus with 22 deaths.
