The Ghana Education Service has suspended the 64th Independence Anniversary parade following a spike in COVID-19 cases. This came following a press release signed by the Deputy Director-General -MS, Mr Anthony Boateng.
The statement read that the suspension followed a directive from the Office of the Chief of Staff to halt this year’s 6th March processions and all its related activities in the various Regions.
Metropolitans, Municipals and District assemblies across the country are all included and are expected to adhere to the Directive.
The statement further added that all Regional Directors are expected to notice all Metropolitan, Municipal, District Directors and all Head of Institutions under their jurisdiction for the strict compliance.
