UBIDS: SRC Presidential Aspirant Miss Vawurah Khadi Priscilla Donates to Bamahu Primary School and Natives to Cushion the Impact of COVID 19 On Their Lives.

Miss Vawurah Khadi Priscilla of Integrated Development Studies level 300, Social, Political and History option, and women advocate on the occasion of her birthday 2nd April organized a durbar and as part of her women empowerment project to sensitize the girl child and parents within the Bamahu community on Menstrual Hygiene and the important of girl child education.

In an interview with campus360gh.com UBIDS Deputy editor, Miss Prisilla stated that menstrual hygiene and its effect on the female child especially the less privileged who are unable to buy sanitary pads is unimaginable and especially in this difficult time.

Miss Vawurah Khadi Priscilla later made a donation of books and sanitary pads to the girls and staff of the Bamahu primary school, also items such as prayer mat, sugar and others were also presented to the Muslim fraternity in the Bamahu community as they prepare for Ramadan.

The occasion was also an opportunity to create awareness of high social vices in the Bamahu community which is dominated by students and to sensitize the community members on the need to take advantage of the university in the community.

Last year on the same day, Miss Vawurah Khadi Priscilla Donated COVID-19 Items to A Deprived Community in Savannah Region.
