KNUST: Student At Kentinkrono Cut Multiple Times By Robbers On His Way Back From Campus

A student at Kentinkrino of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology whose name wasn’t disclosed has reportedly been cut multiple times by armed robbers on his return from campus.

According to Master Kofi Boakye, MP for Kentinkrono, the sad incident took place on the 1st of September 2021 at an undisclosed venue in the late hours of the night.

The Hon. Member of Parliament further indicated that a police patrol has been deployed to the area and is currently in operation following the unfortunate incident. He has also urged students to move in groups at night and avoid walking in dark places as well.

Acknowledging efforts made by his outlet, the Residents Tutor for Kentinkrono; Dr Omari and the MP-elect of the area Kyei-Mensah, Master Kofi Boakye stated that most of the streets lights installed have been damaged, creating an unusual darkness in and around the area. He added that the street lights that were recently installed has been allegedly destroyed by the said assailants in the area.
