The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has released a press statement indicating that the initial decision by the school management to prevent students who owe academic fees from writing their Mid-Semester examination has been revised.
A press statement signed by Tengan Charles Lwanga, Public Relations Officer read that, “the SRC has successfully negotiated to allow all students to register and write the mid-semester examination regardless of their school fees status.
However, after the mid-semester examination, students should endeavour to pay, the statements read.
The released further instructed that students who cannot pay should write an undertaking to their college accounts through their respective department heads indicating a payment plan.
The communique further indicated that all college and faculty buses will be in full operation during the mid-semester examination period to transport students to and fro the faculty area to supplement the already operating shuttles and compensate for the suspension of uber and bolt services at the faculty area.
Library operation has also been extended to 24 hours, hence. buses will be operating at night ( between 9pm to 4am ) to transport students to and fro the respective hostels off-campus with escort services.
