LEGON Cancels Mid-Semester Exams And Church Services Indefinitely In Face Of Coronavirus Scare

In wake of Ghana recording a suspected 3rd case of the Coronavirus pandemic, schools are scrambling to implement safety measures to protect and safeguard the health of students.
The University of Ghana has followed suit by canceling its Interim assessments scheduled for Sunday, 15th March, 2020 as well as church services.

The statement released was issued by the University of Ghana Student Representative Council Public Relations Officer, Mr Daniel Osei Wereko and signed by the General Secretary, Ms Denise Abaniaba Kagal.

“The SRC wishes to inform the student populace that all Interim Assessments (IA) scheduled for the weekend (Sunday March 15, 2020)have been cancelled until further notice.

This directive is in line with the statement from the Public Affairs Directorate suspending all gatherings on campus, until further notice.

It must be mentioned that, all gatherings on campus including church services for the weekend have been suspended indefinitely.”
